The kids brought in hundreds of bottles. We painted, cut, splayed with a heat gun (teacher use only), and strung to create a Chihuly inspired chandelier for our school lobby.
We used jazz tempera which gives a shiny finish but we also used plain tempera paint. This seemed to work because of the transparency of the bottles. We strung the bottles on fishing lines about ten and then tied the lines together at the top. I apologize for not responding earlier @ Kelly!!!!
What did they paint the bottles with? The project is very cool looking!
ReplyDeleteI am curious the type of paint that was used on the bottles as well. What a truly fabulous project!

ReplyDeletedid you paint the bottles inside or outside. I would think if we painted the bottles inside the shiny outside can be seen
